Wonderful testimony! It makes me wonder how many women we know might be going through something like this without us knowing. I pray that they can see the love of God on us and reach out for help.

This is a great reminder that abuse is sadly so much more common than we might think, and that forces beyond the abuse itself–like worries about what friends and family will think–can keep women in terrible situations. I’m so glad she’s in a better place now–no one deserves to spend so many years of her life not being loved.

What a beautiful story. Difficult to read, but so important to share. I have counseled so many women who have gone through similar situations, and struggled with many of these same emotions. I thinking sharing these stories is so important, because it allows others to see that they are not alone.

This piece hits so close to home and was so hard to read. It is so similar to the story of a loved family member of mine. I love that you shared her story because I think it is both healing for the survivor and encouraging for those in an abusive relationship. The more women step out and speak their truth, along with the shame they felt the more others will realize they are not alone and that there is hope.
