Peanut Butter Whip Cream Pie
My ideal weekend would be free of commitments. Baking, singing & giggling. But alas, there’s typically so many things to squeeze in the days that getting a dessert on the table is the LEAST of my concerns. This Peanut Butter Whip Cream Pie (I just made that name up) is a darn easy dessert, I’m already thinking of ways to tweak it to make it new & different. Four simple ingredients and a mixer. Oh, and the mess was close to nothing. I’m telling you it doesn’t get any better than this!
This recipe is so simple, which is why it may well become our new go to dessert. I can see adding caramel or chocolate drizzle to the top, maybe a few toppings like cookie crumbles, or chocolate chips-Yes please! And do you know what I love best about a recipe like this, if you have people coming over unexpectedly, you can absolutely get this whipped up & chilled in no time.
OK, if that’s you today, let’s jump right in, shall we?!
Now let it chill.
And while we’re waiting for it to chill, let me give you a few tips.
- If you happen to drop your crust (and an entire carton of eggs….GAAH!) while bringing the groceries in from the car (not that I did, I just thought that maybe this is something YOU’D do), fret not, you can always press the crust back together or make this dessert like a parfait & layer the crust & filling.
- You could also use powdered sugar in the mixture, but I feel like this is sweet enough as is. However, feel free to add it if you want (after all, you know what you family likes). You would add it after mixing the peanut butter and cream cheese together (before adding the Cool Whip-start with ½ cup).
Viola! (…& yum)! That’s it folks, enjoy!
